Hi, my name is Allison Dorn! I come to NorthPointe Wellness as a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens POint. At UWSP, I was a Health Promotion & Wellness major with an emphasis in fitness leadership. I wan an athlete from a young age all the way through college; as a result I have always had a passion for health and fitness! I completed my internship at NorthPointe Wellness in the summer of 2009 and I am really excited to be able to continue here. I am an ACE certified personal trainer, a certified wellness practitioner through the National Wellness Institute, and I have also completed coursework in health coaching through Intrinsic Coaching Inc. My goal is to help you meet your goals, so if you have any questions, comments, or concerns please let me know and I will be more than happy to help!
Hi, my name is Andrea Carlson. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Movement Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). While I was at UIC, I worked at the school’s human performance lab performing various fitness tests on student athletes. I also worked at a gym for senior citizens called Center for New Life. I moved back to Rockford after I graduated, and worked at an all women’s facility for about two years. I love to laugh and have fun. I think it is very important to like what you do, so I do my best to help my clients have fun while they are working out!
Hello, my name is David Ziemann. I was born and raised in the Rockford area, graduating from Harlem High School. I graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. While attending WIU, I was a member of the track team as a pole vaulter. After graduation, I completed my internship at NorthPointe Wellness and was hired on as staff. I received my personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2009. When working with my clients, I want them to achieve their goals as safely and efficiently as possible. I believe that exercise is the key to a long and happy life. I look forward to meeting you.
Hello everyone and welcome to NorthPointe Wellness, the premier wellness facility in north central Illinois! My name is Herb Case and I have three roles that I perform here at NorthPointe Wellness: fitness specialist, personal trainer, and Spin/ Group Cycling instructor. My education includes a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and the following professional certification:

My mission is to provide the highest quality and state of the art exercise knowledge and programming to NorthPointe Wellness members.
I am excited to be joining the NorthPointe Wellness team. I graduated from UW-La Crosse in 2005 with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science – Fitness and a Strength and Conditioning Concentration. While in school I had the opportunity to train diverse types of people from athletes familiar with training to students new to working out. I spent my last my last semester doing an internship at Capital Fitness in Madison, WI. I have a certification from A.C.E. in Personal Training. I have lived in Janesville, WI all my life. I am a member of the Rock Aqua Jays Waterski Show Team in Janesville. I enjoy cooking, reading, taking my dog for walks and, of course, working out.
Being healthy and feeling good are important to me – so my desire to assist you accomplish your personal goals is very rewarding. My degree in Fitness Education is from Western Illinois University. I am an ACE certified Advanced Fitness Specialist, a newly certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, as well as a certified Hatha Yoga, Enhanced Fitness and Healthy Back instructor. Since 1984, I was able to develop much of my knowledge and experience by working with the members and staff at the Rockford YMCA. At the YMCA I worked in a variety of capacities including: Fitness Specialist, Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Community Wellness Coordinator, Rowing Coach and Fitness Director. Personally, you can often find me getting my exercise with a balance of activities including: rowing with the YMCA Crew Team, Cycling long miles with my pedaling buddies, strength training or practicing yoga. I would love to help you bring confidence, consistency, balance and energy to your personal exercise program.
I come to NorthPointe Wellness from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I enjoy working with both athletes and non-athletes and love to help people increase their quality of life through health and fitness.
My passion for fitness began during my high school years. I made the decision to get serious about changing my body. Through hours of dedication in the gym and Tae Bo Tapes I was able to shape and tone my body. I have developed an admiration for anyone who works hard to change not only their appearance but in the process change their lives. After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Management. While attending school, I began a career in fitness as an aerobics instructor. During my college career I was certified as an Advanced Personal Trainer through the National Council of Strength and Fitness. I then went on to intern at a hospital based fitness center in Hampton, VA. There I developed my skills working with several special populations and began to hone in on my methods of personal training.
I have a Master’s Degree in Fitness Management/Sports Science. I have 10 plus years of experience in clinical Cardiac Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at various places in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Past experiences include working with Elite Athletes at the Human Performance Center in Allentown PA and at the MedSport clinic at the University of Michigan. I am an ACE certified Advaned Fitness Specialist. I love to run and have ran the Chicago Marathons, Danskin’s triathlons, and Philadelphia’s Marathons. I love to exercise, bike,and run but mostly, my heart belongs to my 3 beautiful children. I am very enthusiastic and a motivator, so I hope to help everybody enjoy exercise as much as I do! Hi, I’m Tracy! I earned my Master’s Degree in clinical Exercise Physiology from Ohio University and became an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Exercise Specialist in 2005 and Certifed Wellcoach in 2009. I have worked in the fitness industry for 10 years and have experience in instructing group exercise, personal training, cardiac rehab, risk reduction programs and fitness testing. My goal as a personal trainer is to assist you in the opportunity to improve your fitness level and give you the knowledge and understanding to do so. I feel that making exercise enjoyable, efficient and functional are key points to improving your fitness level and quality of life. Exercise is an essential part of my lifestyle, and I love sharing my enthusiasm with others.
